Edwards escaped from the custody of the Massachusetts DOC in 1976. At the time of his escape, he was serving a state prison sentence for distribution of a class a drug heroin. Edwards is described as a black male, 5'8" tall, 161 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. His date of birth is June 28, 1946. His last known address was in the Roxbury section of Boston, Massachusetts and he has ties to the New York City area. The subject may dress as a female.
