Roque-Tavares escaped from the custody of the Massachusetts DOC in 1990. At the time of his escape, he was serving a ten year state prison term for trafficking in cocaine. Roque-Tavares is described as a Hispanic male, 5 ft. 4 in. tall, 140 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. His date of birth is November 4, 1950. His last known address was in New York City. It is believed the subject is living in the Dominican Republic.
