Rivera escaped from the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Correction in 1987. At the time of the escape, he was serving an 8-10 year state prison term for assault with intent to murder. Rivera is described as a Hispanic male, 5'7" tall, 150 pounds, white/gray hair and brown eyes. His date of birth is January 6, 1926. His last known address is in Boston, Massachusetts but he is believed to be living in Puerto Rico.
