Is anybody here a Rescue 911 fan? For those who don't know, Rescue 911 was a docu-drama that aired on CBS from 1989-1996 that reenacted police, fire and medical emergencies. It was hosted by William Shatner and featured all different types of cases. I often said, particularly in cases involving children, that it was a how-to guide for parents on what they should/shouldn't do with their kids (for example, don't leave your baby unattended in your brand-new car with the keys still in the ignition; don't worry, the baby was fine).
I watched the show when it was in first-run, back when I was a little kid. I'm really surprised my parents allowed me to watch it, since it was a pretty scary show when you think about it. Heck, the episode that features the two little kids who were burned in a propane explosion is almost impossible for me to watch because of how traumatizing it is. But the show did teach me many valuable lessons, including not to run with scissors and not to ride in a Fisher-Price wagon if it's hooked up to a farm tractor. At the same time, I think the show is also the reason I've never been on a roller coaster. (One episode I saw as a child featured a 17-year-old carnival worker who lost his leg at the knee after getting dragged underneath the roller coaster he was operating).
There's a ton of episodes available online if you've never seen it.

I watched it as well and it too was scary. They did give out great advice though and Shatner did have the perfect narration voice. (Not as good as Robert Stack's on Unsolved Mysteries but good nonetheless. )
