According to Tulsa World archives, Antonio Gonzalez and his pregnant girlfriend, Lena Scott were at a bar on March 21, 1998. Witnesses saw the couple fighting that evening.

Authorities say that afterwards, Antonio got into a pickup truck and allegedly drove and struck Lena, dragging her 100 yards into a roadway. That's when Lena was struck and killed by a motorist who was later arrested for DUI.

Antonio Gonzalez has been a fugitive ever since. It should be noted that he was spotted in Tulsa back in 2000.

Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Tulsa County Sheriff's Department at 918-596-5600 or the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation at 800-522-8017 if you have any information on Antonio Vocante Gonzalez's whereabouts.

Thoughts? As of today, October 21, 2019, Antonio Gonzalez still has a listed 1st Degree Murder warrant in the Tulsa County Warrants Search.

I was reminded about this case when I was going through the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation cold case playing cards and found a card for Lena Scott's murder. That reminded me of an old Newslibrary search I once did so I further checked Newslibrary and the Tulsa World archives to get the information on this fugitive case.

It's good that Lena Scott's murder was publicized by the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, however it's kind of annoying they have no reference to Antonio Vocante Gonzalez. Especially since his warrant is officially confirmed.

This is a severely underrated case and I don't know why they would post about Lena but not post the photo of the guy allegedly responsible. Lawyers and their legalese may try to spin this (Despite running a forum to catch fugitives and get justice, I've defended defense attorneys- I know that's redundant- as just doing their jobs when they argue for their clients in court, everyone's entitled to a fair trial- but sometimes they spin things to the point of ridiculousness, and in fairness so do DA's), but if it wasn't for Gonzalez striking Lena and leaving her vulnerable, the vehicle would have never run over her. She was likely to be hit by a vehicle whether it was a drunk driver or not based on the alleged account.

Hopefully one day Gonzalez can be found although it will be difficult.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation publicized this case yesterday, confirming that as of March 23, 2020 it has not gone to court. They also actually mentioned Antonio Vocante Gonzalez's name this time.

As of today, July 23, 2022, Antonio still has a listed warrant in Tulsa County's public warrants directory. I checked PACER and did not see an UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) warrant for him.
