From masslive.com:
A suspect who allegedly kidnapped and raped a woman at knifepoint in New Bedford last year has been added to the Massachusetts State Police’s “Most Wanted List."
Carlos M. Vizcaino, 33, is a fugitive who police say held a woman in her mid-20s against her will in his car on May 31, 2018.
New Bedford Police responded in the early morning hours that day to a report of an unclothed woman running from a car. Police soon discovered the female victim suffering from obvious injuries, state police said.
Investigators believe Vizcaino physically and sexually assaulted the woman at knifepoint in his car for several hours overnight, before she escaped from his vehicle and ran toward a stranger’s car. The stranger called police as Vizcaino fled in his car, according to state police.
Warrants are out for the 33-year-old’s arrest on charges of armed kidnapping with sexual assault, rape with threat of bodily injury, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The suspect is believed to be from the Dominican Republic, but he has also claimed origins from Puerto Rico, authorities said. He allegedly has ties to Lynn and Lawrence, as well as people in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.
A description from state police says Vizcaino is white Hispanic, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds, has scars on his forehead and tattoos on his upper left arm and right shoulder.
Vizcaino has used a number of aliases, state police said in a statement, including names such as Luis Castro, Angel Maysonet, Luis Linares and Carlos Vizcano, like his actual last name but without the "i" letter.
In various states including Rhode Island and New Hampshire, police have encountered Vizcaino under his alias names due to his use of various licenses, birth dates and social security numbers.
State police say Vizcaino has four other Massachusetts warrants tied to motor vehicle violations out of courts in Lynn, Lawrence, Framingham and Plymouth. He was also issued motor vehicle offenses out of a Salem, New Hampshire court under his alias Angel Maysonet.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or contact the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873).
