"On Wednesday, March 3, 2010, Barbara Hamburg was found dead outside of her home at 44 Middle Beach Road West in Madison. The 48-year-old mother of two had suffered multiple blunt and sharp-force injuries.
Ms. Hamburg was scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court that day for a status conference stemming from her 2005 divorce, but she never made it to the courthouse.
At 11:25 a.m., Madison police received a 911 call reporting an injured person. When police and emergency medical personnel arrived Ms. Hamburg was already deceased.
The case is being investigated by the Madison Police Department and the Cold Case Unit in the Office of the Chief State's Attorney."
