The 48-year-old mother of two had suffered multiple blunt and sharp-force injuries. Ms. Hamburg was scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court that day for a status conference stemming from her 2005 divorce, but she never made it to the courthouse. At 11:25 a.m., Madison police received a 911 call reporting an injured person. When police and emergency medical personnel arrived Ms. Hamburg was already deceased.
