The case remains unsolved. Judy Lord, 22, was last seen alive about 10:30 p.m. on May 19, 1975. She had left a volleyball game that was being played in a common area of the Royal Gardens apartment complex, where she lived. Lord was found dead about 12:30 p.m. on May 20. She was suffocated and strangled to death, police said. At the time of her death, Lord lived in the apartment with her 17-month-old son, Gregory. Crime scene technicians spent more than two days processing the apartment for evidence.
