On December 4, 2009, 16-year old Antonio Nunez and his brother had parked their truck outside their home in East Oakland. Also there was their 39-year old father. They had gone home to do some laundry.
Authorities say that's when multiple gunmen got out of a nearby van and fired several gunshots at the Nunez family. Antonio was killed from his gunshot wounds while Antonio's brother and father were wounded.
Investigators believe this shooting was gang-related, but they stressed that Antonio and his brother were not gang members.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Oakland Police Department at 510-238-3455 if you have any information on the murder of Antonio Nunez.

Unfortunately, the last time this case was mentioned on internet media was from a fugitive.com posting back in 2011. That was eight years ago so it seems like there have been no updates since. I imagine this is why Antonio Nunez's family reached out of Project Cold Case for advocacy and support purposes.
