Patrick Alford disappeared from his Brooklyn home four years ago. He was aired on AMW twice in 2010 and once in 2012.
Patrick had been living with his foster mother, Librada Moran for three weeks after he and his four-year old sister had been removed from the custody of their biological mother, Jennifer Rodriguez for alleged neglect, Jennifer lived in Staten Island. Patrick threatened several times to run away and find Jennifer and on Jan 22, 2010, he disappeared while helping Librada with chores. Librada was seen on surveillance tape actively searching for Patrick after he disappeared.
Jennifer's aunt claimed that Jennifer had threatened to kidnap Patrick, however Jennifer passed a polygraph test and there's no evidence she was involved in her son's disappearance, although she knew the address of Librada's home. Several of Patrick's relatives have accused each other of hiding him. As of 2014, Lieutenant Christopher Zimmerman has said they are making "progress" with this case. In 2012, Patrick's father was shot in the head inside a Brooklyn apartment. At the time, authorities were investigating if the shooting was drug-related, however the family's attorney was saying that the shooting was the result of the father putting missing person flyers up in a housing project where he was not welcome to do so. Patrick's father had a rap sheet for 20 arrests at the time of the shooting.
Thoughts? Even though Patrick's parents may have had issues in their lives, that doesn't automatically mean they were responsible for their son's disappearance, as there's no hard evidence to indicate they were involved. Since Patrick had threatened to run away several times, it's sadly likely that he did. As for what happened to him, it's possible that he was abducted by a child predator as he would be a very easy target, on the streets searching for his mother Jennifer.
