HOMICIDE CASE # 2014-67822
VICTIM: Cortez Batiste
OCCURRED: April 1, 2014
On April 1, 2014 at about 1:25 AM, Bakersfield Police Department officers responded to the 1200 block of East Brundage Lane regarding a victim of a shooting. Officers located 13 year old Cortez Batiste near the railroad tracks suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Batiste died as a result of his injuries.

Thoughts? Unfortunately I couldn't find a lot of additional information online but a case this tragic deserves some sort of extra publicity.
