ALBANY, Ga. (WGXA) - Albany police are trying to locate the sister of 17-year-old homicide victim Quamyia Jones.
Police say that 20-year old Quashayla Sykeatha Jones currently has four active warrants. Investigators need to question her about her sister’s homicide and the shooting death of 20-year old Kawoski Antonio Newberry.
Quashayla Sykeatha Jones is 5'6" and weighs about 132 pounds.
These were two of four shootings that happened in the Holley Homes area in one week.
On Thursday, two males were shot in the 900 block of Cherry Avenue. Saturday, Quamyia Jones was fatally shot in the 1900 block of West Highland Avenue.
On Monday night, a 15-year-old was shot multiple times in the leg while riding his bike in the 900 block of Cherry Avenue. Wednesday morning, Kawoski Antonio Newberry was discovered by workers at a house in the 600 block of Cherry Avenue.
FOX 31 spoke with people in the Holley Homes community who are worried about the safety of their family and friends.
Since the shooting Monday night, law enforcement has increased patrols in this area and asks that anyone with information comes forward.

Thoughts? Based on local media reports, Jones was still at large at least as of August 16th, 2019. If my interpretation of the article is correct, it appears Jones is only wanted for questioning in regards to the homicides and shootings but does have four active warrants for her arrest. So it is very important to locate her since if would seem investigators view her as a missing piece to the puzzle(s).
