From kiiitv.com:
ARANSAS PASS, Texas — Charges were upgraded Tuesday for a man accused in a brutal assault caught on video in Aransas Pass, Texas.
In the video, suspect 23-year-old Jacob Lawler is seen assaulting his girlfriend on a second-story patio. At one point he dangles her over the banister before dragging her back down the stairs.
Since the video was released, police have been searching for Lawler to arrest him for assault.
On July 16, Aransas Pass Police Department detectives visited with San Patricio County District Attorney Sam Smith to have him review the case. After Smith reviewed the case and video evidence, it was decided that the assault charge against Lawler was inadequate. Smith instructed investigators to proceed with a charge of felony attempted murder against Lawler.
Detectives secured a second-degree felony warrant against Lawler for attempted murder. Detectives have determined that Lawler either fled the area or is hiding with close associates.
The US Marshals Office is now assisting the Aransas Pass Police Department in the case. If you or someone you know has information about the case, contact the Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 361-758-8477.
Police said it is a felony charge if you are caught hindering the apprehension of Lawler.

Thoughts? I am assuming Lawler is still at large as of this posting date (August 16th, 2019) since he is still listed on Fugitive Watch's website at the moment: www.fugitive.com/2019/07/31/jacob-lawler-wanted/
However, I don't have any official warrant sites to confirm so if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates in the present or future they are always more than welcome to let us know.
