(Above photo credits: fbi.gov website) Fugitive Profile as of July 30th, 2019: (Based on fbi.gov wanted poster) Date(s) of Birth Used: August 5, 1981 Place of Birth: Oregon Hair: Brown Eyes: Blue Height: 6'1" Weight: 287 pounds Sex: Male Race: White Nationality: American TIPS: If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
From the fbi.gov website: Caution: On April 12, 2018, authorities in Douglas County, Oregon, charged Patrick John Oldenkamp with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a child for activity that allegedly occurred between April 1 and May 9, 2017. On March 29, 2019, Oldenkamp pled guilty to one count of using child in display of sexually explicit conduct and one count of luring a minor in exchange for a 70-month prison term. The day prior to his April 16, 2019, sentencing, Oldenkamp left a message for his attorney stating that he was going to kill himself by jumping into a local river to avoid going to prison. Local police believed he may have, instead, fled to his father's home in Clarkston, Washington. Authorities attempted to locate Oldenkamp at the father's home only to learn it had burned down the night before. A federal arrest warrant was issued in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon, on June 12, 2019, after Oldenkamp was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. www.fbi.gov/wanted/cac/patrick-john-oldenkampThoughts? Oldenkamp was just added today to the FBI'S website as one of their crimes against children's most wanted fugitives. An article I found goes into a little more detail on the case. Oldenkamp was accused of befriending a 15-year old girl on Facebook and pretended he was 21. He allegedly sexted her and sent photos of his privates (the girl also had sent him nude photos). The girl also claimed they had phone sex and met in person two times: www.nrtoday.com/news/court/roseburg-man-pleads-not-guilty-to-sexting-teen/article_48c97a09-b3b7-5231-ba51-df4c23b295ea.htmlIt's important to stress the girl is the victim in the case, and it is very easy for these child predators, online or in person, to be manipulative and groom young children/teenagers who are very vulnerable to what the outside world can be like. I also don't really buy that Oldenkamp killed himself, and he should be presumed alive until proven otherwise. Wow, where have we heard fugitives claim they were going to kill themselves instead of starting a new life on the run before. This doesn't seem any different, especially since Patrick's father's home had burned down the night before authorities arrived in an attempt to capture Patrick.
Looking at the two photos that were provided of Patrick, he could look very different with a shaved head, full head of hair and a full beard. So readers in the Pacific Northwest should carefully look at both photos depending on what look Patrick has right now.
Finally I fully support this case's addition to the FBI Featured Fugitives list. These types of cases are what the intended publicity purposes were meant for.

Actually this is a very intense case and usually these kind of cases land on the Top Ten List but given that there aren’t any open slots, we just hope he’s still alive and caught, because what he did was very disgusting. I mean for me to think that 15 year old victim was only 10 in 2014 makes me feel really bad for the victim, she’s just a baby regardless of what you may think.

I think Oldenkamp will stand out wherever he is hiding as a 6'1, 287 pound man according to his profile. I know I sound like a broken record but this is why as much as I love The Hunt and now In Pursuit we need a fugitive show that is more than 12 episodes a year. Oldenkamp would be a pretty easy direct capture if AMW was still on the air. The problem is with no weekly fugitive shows (only partial yearly fugitive shows), and public attention split across media platforms, a lot of these guys that would be easy to catch otherwise stay on the run longer than they should.

The FBI featured fugitive poster for Patrick Oldenkamp is now showing him as captured! We haven't had an official word from the FBI or Douglas County about Patrick Oldenkamp's capture for three days now. I wonder if this is like the Robert William Fisher "capture" from several years ago (which of course was a false alarm).

The stamp still says captured and sometimes for whatever reasons the FBI doesn't always tweet out every fugitive captured. There was a false alarm in like 2004 where it looked like Fisher was possibly captured in Canada- but the FBI has NEVER put captured or deceased on Fisher's poster that we 100 percent know about- only once a photo with the word "DECEASED" on his listing was posted on a find Fisher Facebook page- with no evidence the FBI did that and it possibly being a prank or photoshop by the person who posted it. I wouldn't promote any conspiracy theories since the FBI actually officially put a captured stamp on Oldenkamp's poster and that should be taken as good enough. It's impossible for them to update every single capture- they have other priorities as well.
