Case summary:
In January of 2017, Bairon Ramirez-Lopez allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted his pregnant wife. The alleged assault happened after Ramirez-Lopez heard his wife talking to another man on the phone, becoming enraged after thinking she was having an affair.
According to a report from Fox 23 Tulsa:
"That’s when he grabbed her, pulled her into the bedroom of their home and forced her to have sex, according to an affidavit by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He now stands charged with domestic sexual battery, aggravated battery on a pregnant person and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
While the arrest affidavit doesn’t indicate the relationship between the defendant and the victim, comments in court Friday indicated she was his wife and that there were children present in their home.
After the alleged sexual assault, Ramirez-Lopez left the home and returned around midnight. He grabbed a machete and rubbed it all over the victim’s body while making threats, according to the affidavit. He also held a serrated knife against her throat, causing small cuts to her neck and stomach, the charging document said.
In a video-recorded interview, Ramirez-Lopez allegedly said he forced himself on the victim, believing that if they had sex, she wouldn’t go with another man. He said even though his wife said she was unwilling, he felt she didn’t mean it, according to court documents."

Despite the horrific alleged assault and his subsequent arrest, Ramirez-Lopez would apparently become a wanted fugitive. As of this posting date (7/8/2019), Ramirez-Lopez is still listed as wanted on both the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office's website's most wanted listing and also comes up as having a warrant in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) public access wanted persons search.
The FDLE warrant only lists his charge as "bail- secured bond" so I am assuming that Ramirez-Lopez became a wanted fugitive by skipping out on bail/bond but I want to stress it is my assumption and not stated reason/fact.

Thoughts? This is a scary horrific case and what enrages me even further is Ramirez-Lopez apparently allegedly admitting what took place but seemingly trying to justify it in my opinion.
