Considering Bing Jie Ma has been on the run for over a decade, his native China seems like a more likely hiding spot than the eastern part of Canada.
Unfortunately if that's true, then Canada/China relations are currently really bad, so I wouldn't see an apprehension happen anytime soon.

Considering Bing Jie Ma has been on the run for over a decade, his native China seems like a more likely hiding spot than the eastern part of Canada. Unfortunately if that's true, then Canada/China relations are currently really bad, so I wouldn't see an apprehension happen anytime soon. I don't even know what America's standing with China is, let alone Canada's. What the Hell did Canada or China do to the other that soured their relations recently?

I don't even know what America's standing with China is, let alone Canada's. What the Hell did Canada or China do to the other that soured their relations recently? Basically, on request of the US, Canada arrested the Chief Financial Officer of Chinese tech giant Huawei in Vancouver. In retaliation, China has since detained two Canadians in their country. Any further discussion on this should go in the politics thread. This is just to give an idea on issues with China-Canada extraditions.
