Photo Credits: Cincinatti.com -- On June 6th of this year, two officers pulled over a vehicle in Kenton County, Kentucky who they say was occupied by 27-year old Jacob Ray Julick and Aaron Peeno. That's when Jacob allegedly pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the officers. Jacob fled into a wooded area behind a gas station and has since managed to evade being located by officers and police dogs. It should be noted that Jacob is a drug user and may still have the gun that he allegedly shot at the officers with. He should be considered extremely dangerous. As of this moment, the forum moderator is not sure which law enforcement agency is directing the manhunt for Jacob Ray Julick. As he is still likely in Northern Kentucky, our advice would be to dial 911 due to the severity of this situation.Moderator Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case or confirmed law enforcement contact information, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form
--- Thoughts? As of today, June 12, 2019, Jacob Ray Julick is still at large based on the well publicize media coverage in Northern Kentucky. Most recent article on the manhunt was done today at 2:51 EST and it's almost 5PM EST where I'm out of. Thanks for forum member henkster for making a placeholder thread on this breaking news case. Small thing I want to mention that Scumhunter said in that thread as well, but any forum member can make a case thread with a photo, case description/news article and contact information as long as it's not already covered here. I really do not see this manhunt going on for much longer. As far as I can tell, Jacob is on foot and evading arrest from numerous local law enforcement agencies. The main concern is how he'll act when confronted by arresting officers. Hopefully we can get an ending to the manhunt without any further violence. www.cincinnati.com/story/news/local/erlanger/2019/06/12/arrest-made-erlanger-norther-kentucky-shots-fired-police-jacob-julick-remains-fugitive/1431725001/www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2019/06/07/jacob-ray-julick-man-accused-shooting-officers-charged-attempted-murder/1378098001/

Well to my surprise, as of today June 25, 2019 (13 days after I posted this thread), Jacob Ray Julick is still wanted! Even worse is that on Saturday, officers in Covington, Kentucky pursued him in a police chase. The erratic driving by Jacob caused officers to call off the chase, especially after he tried to ram one of their cruisers. In other words, he's accused of trying to kill even more officers! www.fox19.com/2019/06/24/man-wanted-shooting-police-erlanger-spotted-over-weekend/

Well, less than one month is still a relatively recent case so you're not incorrect yet and while in no way excusing it, we appear to be right that this is a localized manhunt (I'm not trying to say the attempted murder of police officers isn't serious, but it wasn't imperative/breaking news urgent to let a reader living in say Brooklyn New York know Julick was on the loose since Julick likely had not yet at least left the local area near Kentucky).
That incident that happened Saturday is unfortunate, but the good news is he's still in the area, so hopefully that will help narrow it down.

Fox19 Cincinnati on Facebook is providing updates, Julick reportedly in a multi-unit building.

Users commenting they heard what was either gunfire or a smoke bomb on the live video feed.

Reporter updated they don't know if those were gun shots or flash backs (which I'm assuming is another way of saying smoke bomb), seems pretty much confirmed Julick is in the complex though, got to go for a bit I'll continue to monitor situation.

Thankfully Julick has been arrested and this standoff ended the way it should, with no harm to either officers or the suspect. I realize some social media commenters wanted blood and to see the guy shot to death, but law enforcement are not judge/jury/executioner and their main objective when it comes to these standoffs is to get the subject to surrender peacefully, even ones who had allegedly previously shot at them, and a jury of their peers can decide that person's fate later. (Obviously if Julick had shot at them during this standoff all bets would have been off, but thankfully it didn't come to that). Today was textbook on how it should be done and I'm glad it's all over now. www.fox19.com/2019/06/25/mother-jacob-julick-surrounded-by-police-westwood/
