So seeing us compare the Bill Powell and Superbike killer sketches got me to thinking. There have been times in the past when AMW would air separate cases that turned out to be related to each other. One recent example was fraudster Bobby Thompson. No one knew his real name and when he was finally captured it turned out he was really another fugitive police were looking for, although not an AMW fugitive, he was an archived cold case white collar fugitive on FBI.gov named John Donald Cody. This is embarrassing since I'm drawing a blank when Pakman already mentioned other cases on the old amw.com forum but I need my memory refreshed. Does anyone remember who those cases were?

Here's a couple I remember off the top of my head:
Kenneth Tucker / Unknown Jana Eyster Killer - In 1999, AMW profiled a murder suspect named Kenneth Tucker. He was captured indirectly later that year, convicted and sentenced to prison. Four years later, in 2003, AMW aired the 1999 unsolved murder of Jana Eyster, who was found dead in her burned-out apartment. One of the best clues was a man captured on surveillance buying a gas can similar to the one police found in a Dumpster behind Jana's apartment. Around 2008/2009, Tucker was charged with Jana Eyster's murder. Nobody had any clue that the suspect was already behind bars and wasn't going to hurt anyone again.
Unknown Gold Coast Casino Robber / Unknown Las Vegas Bank Robber - AMW profiled the Unknown Gold Coast Casino Robber in early 2006. He robbed a casino and then shot at security guards who were pursuing him. The case went cold until a little more than a year later when AMW added the Unknown Las Vegas Bank Robber to their website. A tip to amw.com led investigators to a man named Charles Lucas. But when police tried to question him, he committed suicide. Evidence found while searching Lucas' home confirmed that not only was he the Las Vegas Bank Robber, but he was also the same man who had robbed the Gold Coast Casino a year earlier.
Joseph Duncan / Unknown Anthony Martinez Killer - We all know the story of Joseph Duncan; he was the one who killed three members of the Groene family in 2005, then abducted both Dylan and Shasta Groene. Dylan was killed, but Shasta was recovered after a concerned Samaritan saw her acting oddly in a store. AMW aired the Idaho Triple Murder twice, and once suspect Duncan was captured, police confirmed that he had also been involved in the abduction and murder of Anthony Martinez from California. AMW had profiled both Anthony's kidnapping and murder multiple times from 1996-2001. Here's the creepiest part; the sketch of Anthony's killer looks EXACTLY like Duncan.
I'll see if I can remember some others later.

Thanks! That's pretty good for just off the top of your head!

I have the weirdest memory you will ever see I can't remember 30 minutes ago, yet I can vividly remember when I was about five years old and my three-year-old sister dropping a glass bowl on our kitchen floor.

Here's a couple more:
Richard Evonitz / Unknown Kristin & Kati Lisk and Sofia Silva Killer - For years, AMW profiled the unsolved murders of sisters Kristin and Kati Lisk and teenager Sofia Silva from Virginia. Police were convinced the two crimes were connected, so AMW always aired them together from 1997-2000. During the first week of July 2002, a man named Richard Evonitz kidnapped a 14-year-old girl from North Carolina and held her hostage, where he raped her for several hours. She managed to escape after he fell asleep and led police right to Evonitz, who eventually committed suicide on a Florida highway when confronted by police. As investigators searched Evonitz's property, they found credible evidence that he was the one who killed the Lisk sisters and Sofia Silva. This included Kristin Lisk's fingerprint, which was found in Evonitz's trunk. (Everybody was astounded that the fingerprint still existed after five years). AMW never profiled Evonitz as a fugitive, but they were intending to. Evonitz happened to be a fugitive while AMW was on their Fourth of July break, but that same week John Walsh appeared on Larry King Live and talked about how frustrated he was that they couldn't profile Evonitz (I never saw the episode myself, but I've read the transcript).
Gerald Reeves - In the early 90s, AMW profiled accused killer Gerald Reeves, who killed a man he had been living with after escaping from a work release facility where he had been serving time. As AMW was getting ready to profile Reeves' case, they received a request from another police agency to profile a different fugitive wanted for a while collar crime. The producer working on the case realized that the white collar crime suspect looked really similar to Reeves. After comparing notes, they realized that it was indeed the same fugitive. I never saw this case profiled, but I've seen his Final Justice airing, which mentioned this coincidence.
I know technically these two don't count, since Evonitz was never profiled as a fugitive (though his recovery was on July 13, 2002) and Reeves' alter ego was discovered before it went to air, but they're still interesting.

Still interesting enough to mention I agree. Funny how small a world it is sometimes.
