From CBS Austin:
Felix Flores is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and violating his parole. The assault charge stems from a violent incident with a woman in Taylor in April 2016.
"The victim answered the door, there's a brief conversation, which escalated into Felix stabbing this victim in the chest approximately 10 times. She also received three large lacerations on her forearm," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Brandon Filla.
That stabbing happened while Flores was out on parole after serving time for murder.
"That second chance seemed to be violated when he stabbed this victim more than a dozen times," said Filla.
U.S. Marshals believe Flores may have fled to Mexico, but they say those on the run eventually slip up.
"An individual that goes on the run at the last minute forgets what he needs to survive. And along that path to getting to that destination, he's going to need money and he's going to need a vehicle," said Filla.
Flores has a large family with ties to Austin, Brownsville, and Harlingen. Officers believe someone in the area may know where he is, and they want that person to come forward.
"There is someone here today, whether it's a close family member or a friend, who knows exactly where Felix is located today," said Filla.
Felix Flores is 5'7" and weighs 200 pounds. He has several tattoos all over his body, including his back, neck, and both arms. If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact the U.S. Marshals service at 1-800-336-0102 or visit usmarshals.gov/tips.
