Thoughts? As of today, May 11, 2019, Ramon Perez's case docket in the Harris County Court Records page shows him not in custody so he's still at large. There doesn't seem to be any actual trial updates since 1985, the only entries since then seem to be periodic case lookups by the court clerks.
Ramon's photo was obtained along with many other Houston murder suspects in 2017 when the Crime Stoppers of Houston Wanted Page had their photo listing working. Unfortunately, this case doesn't have much details, mostly because the Houston Chronicle news archives don't have availability before 1985.
However, it is my opinion that as long as a murder warrant case is confirmed to still be active, and the fugitive is likely still alive (less than 85-90 years of age), the case should be profiled here out of respect to the victim(s). This is especially important since Ramon is only in his mid 50s and is a US Citizen from Texas. That means if he fled south of the border, the Latin American countries would be more willing to locate and extradite him.
