The following description was taken from Texas Rangers case page.
Mary Harris (33 years of age) was a mother of three. She worked at a convenience store in Belton and was in the process of being divorced from her husband. In the early morning hours of Saturday, 03-10-1984, Mary was found in a storage room inside the store where she worked. She had been shot once in the back of the head, however, she survived. Mary later died on 11-16-1984 due to complications arising from the gunshot wound.
Based on investigating agencies, it is advised to contact Texas Crime Stoppers at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477) if you have any information on the unsolved murder of Mary K. Harris.

Thoughts? As of today, April 30, 2019, the murder of Mary K. Harris is unfortunately still unsolved as it's listed as an investigated case by the Texas Rangers. I normally don't make threads on unsolved murders over fugitive cases, however I was browsing the Texas Rangers case directory and wanted to post at least one to this forum.
The unidentified killer would now be 65-75 years of age, so there's a good chance he's still alive. There are two possibilities of what might be the motive here. The first was that since Mary worked at a convenience store, this was a robbery gone bad, which we've seen more than our fair share of those murders. The second, was that this was somehow related to her ongoing divorce. I express caution when saying that since that's only a theory and her husband should not be scrutinized unless we get evidence indicating that.
