The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for these robberies.
Details:
The FBI is seeking the public's assistance in solving the following commercial robberies in Kansas that are believed to be related to each other. The first robbery occurred on February 21, 2019, at the Advance America located on Louisiana Street in Lawrence, Kansas. The second robbery took place on March 29, 2019, at the Advance America located on Northwest Topeka Boulevard, in Topeka, Kansas.
During the robbery on February 21, 2019, the suspect covered his face with a light grey cloth and wore eyeglasses and black-and-white shoes. During the March 29, 2019, robbery, the suspect covered his face with a grey mask.
In both robberies, the suspect wore a black zip-up sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. The suspect approached the counter armed with a silver pistol and then pointed the weapon at the victim tellers. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of money. During the March 29, 2019, robbery in Topeka, Kansas, the suspect fled to what was possibly a black Acura SUV occupied by a lone female.
The suspect is described as a Black male with a light complexion and thin build.
