From The Houston Chronicle:
A Houston man sought by police in connection to a crash that killed an 11-year-old boy has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Omar Aregnis Reyes-Ventura, 27, also faces two counts of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and two counts of intoxicated aggravated assault, police stated on Monday

The collision occurred around 10 p.m. last June 8, in the 7800 block of Hammerly Boulevard
Reyes-Ventura failed to yield the right of way while turning left and struck the other vehicle, according to Sgt. Shantrise Maness and Officer Mark Nicotra of the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division.
The crash resulted in the death of Alex Mendiola and serious injuries to two other passengers, ages four and 28. Mendiola and two other children were "backseat passengers not properly restrained in seat belts," reported police
After the collision Reyes-Ventura was questioned and agreed to have blood drawn for testing before his release, according to police.
Reyes-Ventura was charged after test results indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
He remains wanted by police. HPD is asking anyone with information about Reyes-Ventura's whereabouts to contact the HPD Traffic Enforcement Division at 713-247-5900 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Thoughts? This is obviously a tragic "accident" (I say "accident" in quotes since it didn't have to happen if Reyes-Ventura wasn't allegedly intoxicated) and Reyes-Ventura needs to take responsibility for allegedly driving drunk rather than hide like a coward.
Also, I put 2019 as the wanted year even though the crash happened in June 2018 since the warrants for Reyes-Ventura were not issued until this year. Just so we can track his wanted status, as of this posting date (3/24/2019), a search of Harris County's online court records still show Reyes-Ventura as having active warrants and still not in custody in relation to this case: www.hcdistrictclerk.com/edocs/public/search.aspx?ShowFF=1
