Calvin Fulmer has been on the run for 40 years after escaping from prison in Colorado. I didn't find anything to suggest he got an AMW profile in the 1990s.
In his youth, Calvin was arrested for attempted sexual assault, assault and theft. On Jun 13, 1967 when he was 18, Calvin was told by his mother to move out after not going to school. Calvin claimed that his mother threw a knife onto a table and it bounced and hit him in the shoulder. He then proceeded to stab his mother to death. Calvin pled guilty and was sentenced from 55 to 65 years in prison. On July 20, 1974, Calvin and convicted robber James Lee Bruebaker escaped from prison by threatening an ambulance driver and corrections officer. James was captured a few months later but never told authorities where Calvin fled to.
In recent years, investigators took a look at where James had a post office box all the way in the rural town of Maupin, Oregon. People in Maupin claimed that they saw someone who looked similar to Calvin. The Oregon Bruebaker had the same identifying information as Bruebaker except for his birth date, which was more like Calvin's. That was in 2009 and Calvin still remains a fugitive.
Thoughts? It appears that James helped Calvin create a new life for himself after they escaped. Why James is still not cooperating after all these years is something I don't understand, although perhaps he doesn't want to go back to prison for harboring a fugitive. Part of me wonders if Calvin took off after investigators talked to people in Maupin.
