Authorities in Califronia's Alameda County have been looking for Cody Tripp ever since he hosted a party where a man was killed back in May of 2012.
On May 14, 2012, deputies arrived at Tripp's home around 7 p.m. after receiving calls about criminal activity in the area.
According to past articles (which are from years ago, so anyone can feel free to email is if there is updated information), deputies went to do a routine probation check of a resident at the home, and they found 26-year-old Jordan Vigil's body in the garage and a significant amount of blood. Later reports say he had been beaten and stabbed to death.
Tripp, who was 25 at the time (he'd be in his early 30's at the time of this posting), was on probation for "weapons possession and also has convictions for public intoxication and drug possession."
Investigators learned Tripp was present during the homicide and issued no-bail warrant for his arrest in connection with the investigation.
As of this posting date (2/20/2019), Tripp is still listed on the Alameda Country Sheriff's Office website as one of their most wanted fugitives. (In reference links below).

Thoughts? It's still unclear from what I found what exactly is believed to have happened during that house party unless those details are purposely being held for investigative purposes. In other words, the information is that Jordan Vigil was stabbed and beaten death, but nothing as to believed motive or as to what Cody Tripp's believed involvement was, only that he was present when Vigil was killed and he's been charged with homicide as a result.
Also it should be noted that Vigil himself had a criminal record, but according to his family he was trying to turn his life around and had no recent violent crimes. Jordan vigil had a 13-year-old and a 3-year-old son when he was killed. So it's very tragic to see him try to change only for this to happen anyway.
I'm assuming more people can be charged if they haven't been already (articles are from years ago) and if anyone has any recent updates it would be appreciated as I want to make sure we have the most accurate information, but it does seem that obviously Cody Tripp is the believed key to closing this case and getting justice for Jordan Vigil's family.
