From the New York State Police website- Unsolved Homicides section:
-June 9, 2004 at approximately 11:00 am, Yvonne Torch was found murdered inside her business, the "His and Hers Hair Salon", on Rt. 9w in the Town of Newburgh, Orange County.
-Investigators are seeking any information that may help solve this crime.

Thoughts? Sadly, as of this posting date (1/18/2019), Yvonne's case is still listed as unsolved homicide on the New York State Police website.
Perhaps one significant lead, according to a 2016 article, is that an investigator believes that based on her touch wounds, that whoever killed Yvonne did it as a "crime of passion."
