(Above photo credit: upnorthlive.com) From upnorthlive.com: LAKE COUNTY, Mich. -- Michigan State Police are hoping someone will come forward with information that will solve a homicide case that is now a year old. On January 10, 2018, the body of Evelyn Ware was discovered beneath the rubble of a house fire at her home at 1487 Lakola Road in Ellsworth Township. The Lake County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Ware's death a homicide. Detectives from the Michigan State Police are asking anyone with information to come forward, stating that it does not have to be first-hand knowledge of the crime. Any information, regardless of seeming importance, is requested and could lead to a critical advancement in the case. There is a $5,000 reward in place for anyone who contributes information that leads to an arrest in the case. If you have any information regarding the investigation into Evelyn Ware's death, you are asked to contact the MSP Mt. Pleasant Post at (989) 773-5951 or the Cadillac Area Silent Observer 231-779-9215 or 1-800-528-8234.upnorthlive.com/news/local/police-continue-to-search-for-answers-in-unsolved-murderThoughts? Unfortunately I couldn't find a lot of additional information online but perhaps there is a reason as other articles I've read say Evelyn was beloved in her community and it doesn't seem anyone would have a motive on the surface to harm her . So that perhaps leads to just guesses as to whether Evelyn knew her killer or if this was a random act of violence.
