Thoughts? What's especially tragic about this case is Drew Devoursney was a Marine veteran who joined the Marines after the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks on our country. According to a Fox News article, in 2017, a 54-year old man named John Deshaies of Canada was named a person of interest in Devoursney and Matus' deaths. Deshaies rented space on the ground floor of Matus’ seaside home in Belize. He had also been accused of stealing from a local casino in Belize. He pleaded not guilty to the theft and handling stolen goods charges and was later released on bail. However, as of this posting date (12/24/2018), he has never been criminally charged in relation to the homicides of Devournsey and Matus.
