Authorities in Louisiana are trying to identify a Jane Doe who was found in Lake Pontchartrain nearly 30 years ago. AMW aired the case twice in 2005.
On Jun 19, 1986, two fisherman at Lake Pontchartrain, discovered the remains of a nude woman, with a white plastic bag over her face that had been attached to her neck with duct tape and a red 22 lb. weight. She had died from asphyxia but had stab wounds to her facial area as well. The woman was three-months pregnant when she was murdered, had a marking on a finger that indicted a ring may have been removed, and had silicone breast implants, but the implants did not have serial numbers. She was described as being white, 20-30 years old, 5'2 to 5'4, 120-126 lbs, with reddish brown hair, perfect teeth aside from all her wisdom teeth being extracted, and she may have been in a car accident because she appeared to have facial reconstruction done and had a hip fracture.
In 2003, investigators compared her to a missing girl out of Ohio named Lisa Sexton. However the two cases did not match. Lisa Sexton still remains missing. According to NamUs, over a dozen other missing females have been ruled out as Lake Pontchartrain Jane Doe.
Thoughts? Out of all the Jane/John Doe cases AMW has ever aired but remain unsolved, I'm puzzled as to why this victim in particular hasn't been at least identified. The only other case details I found was that she was found in the area of Slidell, Louisiana and wasn't believed to be from the area. The ring marking and the fact that the victim was pregnant, makes it possible that she was killed by her husband, however that's only one possibility.
