(Above photo credit: svgtribune.com via Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department) From CBS Los Angeles: MONROVIA (CBSLA) – Authorities were searching Wednesday for a 33-year-old man wanted in connection with the killings of a woman and her teenage daughter found in a Monrovia apartment. The victims, 41-year-old Cecilia Meza and 17-year-old Kelsey Meza, were found dead about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of West Colorado Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The wanted man has been identified as Nimrod Perez Guerrero, who investigators said had an on and off relationship with Cecilia Meza. Guerrero – who is Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes – should be considered armed and dangerous. He was possibly driving a gray 2014 Toyota Rav4 with California license plate 7FPB132, according to the sheriff’s department. Investigators have not said how the victims died. They were found after someone asked police to conduct a welfare check, according to the sheriff’s department. The welfare check was sought after the girl failed to show up at Monrovia High School for several days. The school is across the street from the apartment where the bodies were found. Officers entered the apartment through an open window when they were unable to contact anyone inside and found the bodies, the sheriff’s department reported. Monrovia Unified School District Superintendent Kathy Thorossian issued a statement saying that the school community was mourning the deaths. “There is no question that a tragedy of this nature affects our entire community. It is difficult to process the death of anyone, much less someone so young and so promising,” Thorossian said. The district had grief counselors available on campus to support students and staff. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau were assisting Monrovia police in the homicide investigation. Anyone with information about the killings or the whereabouts of Guerrero was asked to call sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Detectives Eddie Aguirre or Tony Guillen at 323-890-5500.
Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 800-222-TIPS or at lacrimestoppers.org.losangeles.cbslocal.com/2018/12/06/identities-released-monrovia-woman-daughter-homicide/Additional article: www.sgvtribune.com/2018/12/06/detectives-continue-search-for-man-linked-to-slaying-of-monrovia-mother-daughter/Thoughts? This is a very serious breaking news case so because of that I'm assuming Guerrero is unfortunately still at large as of this posting date (12/7/2018). This is a very heartbreaking story, and will forever be a tragedy, but hopefully there will at least be justice for Cecilia and Kelsey.
UPDATE: As of February 2020 anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts can also call or text "In Pursuit" on the Investigation Discovery channel at 833-378-7783 and/or submit a tip at the show's website: www.InPursuitTips.comAdmin Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

As of today, September 20, 2019, it appears that Nimrod Perez Guerrero is still at large. I say "appears" since there's been no articles on this horrific case since December!

Moving Guerrero to the Fugitives on TV section since he is now on the tip form for season 2 of In Pursuit with John Walsh. I can confirm he will get a full profile in one of the remaining episodes for this season.

Guerrero was aired on last night's (March 11th, 2020), episode of In Pursuit with John Walsh.
Some additional clues they give is that Guerrero has ties to Arizona and may still be in California.
He also has ties to the Luz Del Mundo church which has branches in California and Mexico.

So In Pursuit made a Facebook posting about Guerrero and once again a lot of comments were having a laugh over the fact over his name being Nimrod.
Look, it is sort of an elephant in the room about this case, and I could appreciate that without context or knowing anything about him, if I were introduced to someone in real life who said his name was Nimrod, I'd likely think he was making a joke or have to refrain from being amused, but that goes out the window when it's a guy accused of killing a woman and her teenage daughter.
In a way his unusual name may help tipwise in making him stand out in people's memory (although sadly he isn't caught yet), but it would be a lot easier to remember him for the terrible crime he allegedly committed instead. Would be nice for people to remember there are victims and friends/family of victims in this case, and by having a laugh at his name instead of focusing on getting justice, you're having a laugh at their expense.

I saw the same post and the immature comments/reactions about the first name of this fugitive. It seriously is not helpful people, and as Scumhunter mentioned, they are having a laugh at the expense of the family and friends of Cecilia and Kelsey Meza. Some of those people are acting like young teenagers as far as I'm concerned considering the situation.

People on social media poking fun at his first name and distracting from his crimes was exactly what I feared would happen once word was spread there. Doubly so for a case as disgusting as this one.

The other thing people are noticing is that one of the clues is Perez Guerrero attends church regularly. But unfortunately thats nothing new for so many of these fugitives who seem to follow the word of the bible except for the "thou shalt not kill" part. The most famous example being John List, who disgustingly justified murdering his family because he was "sending them to heaven where they'd be better off."

Figured I'd help make up for the stupidity of internet posters and instead of just complaining about them also help towards a capture and make Guerrero our forum case of the week for this week (May 16th-May 22nd, 2021)
