TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- It's been almost two years since four people were murdered in central Topeka and whoever did it is still on the run.
"I can remember the day like it was yesterday," says Alvi McGlory, who still gets flashbacks of December 1, 2013 - the day when her niece, Tamesha Lee, was killed in Topeka's first quadruple homicide in at least four decades.
Tamesha Lee, Eric Avery, and Marvin Woods were found dead inside a home at 1629 Southwest Central Park. Carla Avery was found shot, blocks away, near a dumpster at 21st.
"I miss her so much. She was like the comedian in our family. She could mimic everybody. We still don't know what happened to her, how she died, who did it or what or why," says McGlory.
Topeka Police say they still have no suspects which has Tamesha Lee's father searching for answers.
"I would call it a cold case," says Topeka Police Department's Captain Ash Kaboudan.
"I'm very upset inside. I am angry as hell inside. I still hurt. My daughter is gone. Nobody is being held accountable for it. Nobody has given me any kind of nothing," says Paul Lee, Tamesha's father.
Lee says he calls the Topeka Police Department continuously.
"I call them every other week, maybe every other 3 weeks since this happened. They tell me its not a cold case," says Lee.
Lee believes the victims' past is a factor. Jail records indicate all 4 were previously in trouble with the law.
"If they didn't have a criminal background, I think the police would be more working harder to figure out what happened to them," says McGlory.
"Just because someone has a criminal background does not mean they deserve to die. We followed up on leads. It's not that we ever give up. We don't have anything at this point in time to follow up on, so the case is still considered a cold case because it hasn't been solved but it is always open," says Capt. Kaboudan.
McGlory and Lee say as long as the case is open, they cannot move forward.
"We can't heal. I can't heal!" cries McGlory.
"I need closure badly before I snap. And I won't have closure until I can look someone in the eye and they can tell me why they killed my daughter," Lee says.
The Central Park home was previously the scene of a homicide in 2007 -- that case also remains unsolved.
