SIOUX CITY -- Arrest warrants have been issued for a 24-year-old man believed to be involved in a fatal July 29 assault.
Police are seeking Ray Avila on charges of involuntary manslaughter and assault causing serious injury, according to a news release issued Monday afternoon.
Shortly after 2 a.m. July 29, police were called to the 1100 block of Fourth Street for an assault. A man later identified as 31-year-old Peter Johnson had suffered a head injury in the incident and later succumbed to his injuries.
Video camera footage from the incident, including some amount of cellphone footage, was obtained by police. Police said Monday the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Anyone with information on the case can contact the Sioux City Police Department at 712-279-6440 or Crime Stoppers at 258-TIPS. Tipsters may receive a cash reward of up to $1,500 for a tip leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Thoughts? Unfortunately I couldn't find a lot of additional information about this case, however, as of this posting date (November 4th, 2018), Avila still shows as having a warrant in Woodbury County (Sioux City's county) online warrants search: warrants.wcicc.com/
