"About this Case:
On February 7, 1996, 40 year old, Joseph Talahytewa, a homeless male was hospitalized and succumbed to his injuries several days later. Police were called on a report that a person had been assaulted near the Pikes Peak Liquor Store on the corner of Pikes Peak and Wahsatch Boulevard. Hours after undergoing surgery Mr. Talahytewa slipped into a coma and never regained consciousness. He died on February 12, 1996. The investigation revealed a fight took place during the afternoon of February 7, 1996 behind the Pikes Peak Liquor Store. Mr. Talahytewa was able to communicate that he was assaulted by two people. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Colorado Springs Police Department. "
