Thoughts? According to the Parents Of Murdered Children website, Officer Hicks was murdered outside her mobile home in Bourne, Texas. Her assailant, who is unknown, beat her to death with some type of hard item like a tire iron or bat as she was approaching her pick up truck to go to work.
Also: "she was dressed in her skirt and jacket for work. She had her holstered gun in her purse, but she did not draw it. The police estimate that she died about 7:00 a.m. None of her possessions were missing. Neither her truck nor her house were disturbed. When the police found her, her truck door was open and she was lying on the ground nearby. None of her neighbors in the small mobile home park heard anything, but a neighbor in an a house that bordered the park said that he heard a cry or yell about the time of her death. There are no known witnesses."
Officer Hicks was also engaged to an Army sergeant, who had not yet divorced his third wife.
