According to Newslibrary archives, Rosa Perez is charged with allegedly shooting her boyfriend, Atanacio Esquivel to death in mid July of 1991. Rosa and Atanacio were reportedly having problems with their relationship at the time of the murder. Rosa was charged with second degree murder because she had brought the gun to the area where Atanacio was shot, but authorities don't believe the murder was premeditated.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Website mentions that Rosa failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued for 2nd Degree Murder. She has been wanted ever since.

Thoughts? As of today, October 14, 2018, Rosa Perez is still a fugitive since she's listed on the Douglas County, Nebraska Most Wanted page.
Even though Rosa has been wanted since 1991, she would only be 55-years of age today so she's most likely still alive. I imagine if she didn't return to the United States at some point, she would be somewhere in Latin America right now.
