From NBC 6 Miami (nbcmiami.com):
More than a year after a mother and daughter were murdered while sleeping in their North Lauderdale home, their loved ones continue looking for answers.
“You live it every day, but it doesn’t get easier,” said Nicole Williams, sister of Temeco Williams.
Temeco Williams and 15-year-old Jada Allen had dreams of accomplishing much more, but their lives were cut short by a ruthless killer.
Detective Zack Scott of the Broward Sheriff’s Office describes it as cold-blooded murder.
On Jan. 27, 2017, Temeco and Jada went to sleep in the same bed. On Jan. 28 at around 5 a.m., two other children in the home woke up to the sound of gunshots.
"These are children who heard their mother and their sister getting shot and eventually learning that they were murdered," said Det. Scott.
When detectives arrived at the home near W McNab Road and 71st Avenue, they say it was a bloody scene. According to investigators, the mother and daughter were shot multiple times inside Jada’s room.
“It was a pretty gruesome scene inside the bedroom," said Det. Jeffrey Curtis of the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
“For someone to just come in, a thief in the night, and just steal their life, and that’s what they did because they can’t be replaced and there is no value on it," Williams said.
Detectives did not see any signs of forced entry into the home, but believe the killer was familiar with the layout and may have even known the mother and daughter.
"They intended to shoot both victims and they deliberately shot both victims. It wasn’t chaotic or indiscriminate, it was directed," Det. Scott said.
Family members say the lack of closure makes each passing day more frustrating. They hope someone will feel compelled to help them move forward and call police.
"Maybe you heard something, maybe you saw something. Maybe you just didn’t pay anybody attention and weren’t listening to them. Just think back to Jan. 28, 2017," Williams said.
If you have information about these murders you may be eligible for a $6,000 reward. You can remain anonymous by calling Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.

Thoughts? Just a relatively minor technical note that I notice some Florida news sites spell Williams' first name as "Temoco" while others say "Temeco." I am assuming it's Temeco since that's how this most recent news article spells her name, but I just wanted to be on the safe side in case I need to be corrected later on.
Getting back on topic, this is such a tragic case and one I'm surprised didn't receive much news coverage outside of Florida. It seems obvious imo that any current or past boyfriends if Temeco had should be considered strong suspects. I have a hunch perhaps police may know more than they're releasing but don't have enough evidence to charge that person, so this is where the general public is so vital in hopefully calling in a tip that breaks the case wide open.
