From the Connecticut government website- Division of Criminal Justice- Cold Cases section:
"On Thursday, September 12, 1985, a patron of the all-night Gas & Save found the manager, Carmen J. DeLuca, fatally wounded inside of the temporary office trailer for the business located at 163 Bridge Street in East Windsor. Investigators determined that DeLuca was shot in an apparent robbery but could locate no witnesses to the crime.
Approximately three hours later, a clerk of an AM/PM convenience store in Orange, Connecticut, was shot by a black male during an armed robbery. The bullet recovered from that clerk was matched ballistically to the bullet removed from Carmen DeLuca. The suspect in the Orange robbery was described as a black male 5’8" tall to 6’0" tall, very slender and approximately 18-25 years of age. The victim of the Orange robbery also described the suspect as being the passenger in a silver four-dour Cadillac Brougham.
The case is being investigated by the East Windsor Police Department in conjunction with the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Unit, the Office of the State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Hartford and the Cold Case Unit in the Office of the Chief State's Attorney."
