Wallace allegedly killed one person before taking off in the truck, which was later recovered. He is believed to have continued on foot, Fuson said. Wallace is also believed to be responsible for attack a couple in their Indian Mound, Tennesse, home on Sept. 22, according to NBC News' affiliate WSMV. Brenda Smith and her husband were returning to their home after church when police said they walked into Wallace burglarizing their home, WSMV reported. Wallace allegedly bound the couple and set the home on fire, killing Smith, 63, according to WSMV. The husband, identified by the Tennessean as Teddy Smith, was able to escape with non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. He has not been identified. Well this is surprising Wallace has pleaded Guilty To Murder Charges in Montgomery County he also pleaded guilty to Aggravated Robbery and Kidnapping so he will serve life in prison avoiding the dp

Here's an article and I thank you for the news, and I am not asking this to sound rude but what part are you surprised by? If it's Wallace pleading guilty, murderers plead guilty because although they killed human beings, they're hypocrites who don't want to die themselves. (This is why some argue for the death penalty as a deterrent and/or bargaining tool). If it's that he didn't get the death penalty, yes this case was worse than usual but it in my opinion isn't necessarily that surprising since often families themselves will prefer a plea deal to not have to go through the pain of a trial, and the state does not have to spend time and resources on a trial and the death penalty and what would likely be numerous appeals which will also cost money legally speaking down the road. Just in my opinion, because of those factors, the final outcome of this case is not too shocking to me. Honestly I have to say he probably did it just to avoid the death penalty because tennessee is really using it right now and they have sent four people to the electric chair and two have been executed by lethal injection

Also an unrelated tangent but Steven Wiggins Is facing trial this month and next month one for federal carjacking trial and firearms offenses and one for state murder arson and abuse of a corpse charges which can either put him in riverbend maximum security institution nor the federal death row in Terre haute indiana
