Photo Credits: Nashville Police Department Height: 5'6" Weight: 140 Birthdate: 01-11-1989 Current Age: 29 (As of September 26, 2018) -- According to Nashville Scene and Newspapers.com, on September 19, 2008, Edgar Rodriguez allegedly shot and killed Vinod Shah in his convenience store. A fingerprint at the crime scene matched Rodriguez from a 2007 arrest, and local relatives identified him from the surveillance footage. Edgar is believed to fled to Mexico after the murder. Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Nashville Police Department's Fugitive Unit at (615) 862-7348 if you have any information on Edgar Rodriguez's whereabouts.Moderator Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form --Thoughts? First and foremost, this is a manhunt for a fugitive who allegedly committed a cold-blooded murder, let's not forget that is the main point of this thread. I bring that up because following the murder of Vinod Shah there was controversy regarding Edgar being an illegal immigrant and having been previously deported in 2007. In 2008, Nashville authorities reportedly had no idea how Edgar re-entered the US. As far as we stand now in 2018, Edgar could still be in Mexico but there is always a possibility he may have once again re-entered the US at some point. www.nashvillescene.com/news/article/13029586/287g-helpless-against-undocumented-murderer-serpas-blames-fedswww.nashville.gov/Police-Department/Get-Involved/Wanted-Fugitives.aspx?filter=Edgar+Rodriguez

Also, Rodriguez is still listed on the Nashville P.D. website, so he is seemingly still at large as of today (September 26th, 2018).
I have been a defendant of being kind to immigrants and having common sense immigration reform that protects non-criminals (such as dreamers who are here through no fault of their own) while getting rid of the criminal ones that shouldn't be here. Rodriguez seems to be in the latter category of a guy who shouldn't have been here. Hopefully one day he will still face justice.

As of today, March 30, 2023, Edgar has an active UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case in PACER. With that in mind, some national publicity by the FBI/US Marshals on this manhunt would be appreciated.

This guy was a 19/20 year old loose cannon, and at that age everyone is, but to commit a murder after he was just deported a year prior is just plain crazy. It’s the action of guys like these that give an entire community a bad name and a hard time. Honestly if immigration reform were ever passed, I would hope the bill protects people who haven’t committed violent crimes and has a provision to get individuals who committed violent crimes like Edgar Rodriguez to serve their sentence and off they go.
