I thought this would be a fun off-topic. Most of us when we think of John Walsh of course think of the former host of our favorite show (who will be back with a new fugitive show!) However, Walsh is a somewhat common last name, so obviously there are some other John Walshes out there. Here's a few of the other JW's I've come across:
John Walsh- Denver District Attorney- When the FBI announced the addition of Edwin Rivera Gracias to their Top 10 list last year, a familiar name was at the press conference- John Walsh. However, it was Colorado District Attorney John Walsh- ironically also a crimefighter!:

John Walsh- Montana Lt. Governor- Montana Senator Max Baucus- already retiring from the U.S. Senate in 2014, was nominated by President Obama as the new ambassador to China. As a result, his seat will be vacated until the election in November. The Governor of Montana, a Democrat, is expected to possibly name Lieutenant Governor John Walsh as interim Senator. The nomination however seems to be coming with controversy as this Walsh has had to release his military records. Some call him a hero just like we call AMW's John Walsh a hero, but some say otherwise!

John Walsh- President of DataQuick Inc. According to its site, DataQuick is a company that "provides our customers with the most up-to-date real estate data and real estate solutions." Its' President is John Walsh, who according to his website bio, has 30 years of sales experience, and an MBA from Harvard Business school. Very impressive! Although he's yet to catch a criminal

John Walsh- CEO- Canaveral Port Authority- This John Walsh is the CEO of the Canaveral Port Authority- which seems to operate the ship-based travel industry in parts of Florida. Ironically, AMW's JW lives in Florida!-

John Walsh- Fake Pilot- Not all John Walshes are noble like our hero. Authorities in the Florida Keys say 47-year old John A. Walsh used a fake pilot's license to fly customers in an unregistered plane. Good thing he was arrested or we might have seen the irony of John Walsh trying to catch John Walsh! Anyone who wants to travel in Florida are probably better off using the John Walsh from the Canaveral Port Authority's service rather than this guy.

And those are just a few! I know what some might be thinking- the admin of this site appeared to be bored out of his mind when he wrote this. I am waiting at home all day for a furniture delivery. So you would be correct!

I know the new Mayor of Boston is Marty Walsh but no idea if he's related to at the least the Massachusetts Democrat. I'm part-Irish, so I know Walsh is a VERY common last name, but still fun to think about.
