Ernesto Vega Pineda is wanted for a double homicide out of Houston. I don't know if he was aired on AMW in the mid-late 90's.
Back in the 1980's, two families in the Mexican state of Guerrero became enemies for reasons that were never made public. Three people were killed in that Mexican state as a result of the feud. The killers fled to Houston, Texas and the family of the victims followed them since they wanted to resolve this themselves instead of letting the Mexican government do it. In August 1994, brothers Cornelio and Jose Santibaez shot and killed Antonio Vega Pineda. A month later, Hilario Morales, a cousin of Antonio was shot to death, his wife said she saw the Santibaez's car leaving the scene. On Oct 8, 1995, Ernesto Vega Pineda and his brother Miguel Pineda shot Cornelio, Jose and Abraham Santibaez in front of 100 witnesses at a handball court, killing Cornelio and Jose.
Warrants were issued for Ernesto and Miguel Pienda. Miguel was arrested in Florida in November 1995 and is serving a life sentence. Ernesto is still at large?
Thoughts? I'm really curious as to why this feud between the two families started in the first place that would eventually lead to at least seven deaths. Ernesto probably fled back to Mexico although part of me wonders if Ernesto was killed by another member of the Santibaez family.
