CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) -
Monday marks three years since 31-year-old Jason Lee Shifflett was murdered. The case remains unsolved.
Shifflett was shot and killed in his Carlton Avenue home sometime before 1 a.m. September 3, 2015.
Investigators have never announced any suspects or persons-of-interests in the case, and few details have been made public. Police have previously stated that a woman was inside the home with Shifflett at the time of the shooting, and that she was cooperating with officers.
Shifflett’s mother, Robin Bryant, has repeatedly pressed the Charlottesville Police Department for answers ever since the fatal incident. Bryant has accused the department in the past of not doing more to solve her son’s murder.
Anyone with information about Shifflett's death is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.

Thoughts? I found a 2016 article with Detectives who stated they were working on the case but that there was not a lot to go on: www.nbc29.com/story/33032127/one-year-later-detectives-discuss-jason-shifflett-murder-investigation
Part of me does wonder, but accusing the police but perhaps even the general public doesn't take the case as seriously as it should because they see all the tattoos and the word "Outlaw" on Jason's face. Unfortunate judging of a book by its' cover. His mother obviously still loved him, there is no excuse that justifies murder, and having tattoos anywhere on your body, no matter how physically appealing or not appealing they may be to some, does not make someone a bad person.
