Details of Disappearance
Sanders was last seen walking westbound on Interstate 20 in Monahans, Texas at 9:45 a.m. August 13, 2017. He is from Cason, Texas and was living in a camper in Monahans while he worked for an oil rigging company. He has never been heard from again. Since his disappearance, his credit cards have not been used and his phone has been turned off.
The day before his disappearance, Sanders attended a cookout and seemed agitated. He spoke to his wife on the phone while he was at the cookout and she asked what was wrong, and he said, "I’m so tired, and I don’t know how much longer I can take this." His family believes he may have stopped taking his psychiatric medication.
He left his camper and his truck behind and his case remains unsolved.
