(Above photo credit: Salt Lake City Police Department website) From the Salt Lake City Police Department website- cold cases section: Victim: Efrain Ocampo Cold Case Type: Homicide Occurrence Date: 1988-11-28 Victim Age: 9 Months Victim Gender: Male Synopsis: The victim was taken to the address of occurrence by the parents. The daycare provider stated the victim woke up from a nap gasping for air as if congested in the lungs. The victim was taken to Primary Children Hospital. The victim died on November 28, 1988. The Medical Examiner’s Office list the death as homicide and the immediate cause of death is known but being with held for investigative reasons. This is an open case and the Salt Lake City Police Department is seeking information. Really sad, and surprised it's taken 30 years since there's a narrow list of people who could have possibly harmed Efrain.
