A sex offender from Dallas has been added to the state's 10 Most Wanted list.
Authorities say that Billy Don Urango, 26, has been wanted since June after he fled from a Dallas halfway house where he was living.
Urango was convicted in 2010 of aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child by sexual contact and indecency with a child by exposure related to an incident involving an 11-year-old boy in Grayson County.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and released on parole after about six years.
Urango is described as a white man who is 6 feet tall and about 220 pounds. He has tattoos on his neck, chest, arms and left leg, as well as a scar on his left hand and needle marks on his right arm.
Authorities say Urango has ties to Dallas, Bedford, Watauga, Wichita Falls and Ardmore, Okla. He should be considered armed and dangerous, they say.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to Urango's apprehension. To report a tip, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-252-8477, text DPS and the tip to 274637 or visit the Texas Department of Public Safety website.
