--Thoughts? The Houston Cold Case Department recently added Miguel to their site along with another cold case fugitive whom I posted earlier this week. I couldn't find any newslibrary articles about this case so if there is a known motive, then I'm not currently aware of it. With the website posting, I can confirm Miguel is still wanted as of today, June 21, 2018. Also my account for the Harris County Courts Page is still not working (probably inactive) so that's where I tended to look up vital statistics on cold case Houston fugitives. The Harris County court case website is funky on occasion, I'll enter in my password and it will stay say login failed, then I'll try again a half hour, hour later and it will work.
A moot point here though since I couldn't find the case against Gonzalez on there anyway, but he's obviously still at large as of your posting date (6/21/2018) since he was just added to the Houston cold case website.

I actually found the murder case for Miguel Angel Gonzalez in the Harris County Court Records database. As of today, October 16, 2021, Miguel is listed as "not in custody". The case is also in "warrant/citation issued" status. The case was actually filed in 2004. Therefore I am assuming that cold case detectives looked into the homicide of Juan Carrasco and found enough evidence to have Miguel charged in the case. Additionally I found some additional information about Juan's homicide thanks to Newslibrary. Juan, who was 18 at the time, was at a convenience store parking lot when a car drove up. The passenger got out and started arguing with Juan before shooting Juan to death. Also I checked PACER to see if there was ever an UFAP warrant issued for Miguel. The problem is that there are over 150 entries in the Southern District of Texas for the name "Miguel Angel Gonzalez". I felt it wasn't worth it to check the records. Finally here are the vital details for Miguel according to the Harris County database.
