Roger Hart is wanted for the attempted murder of his wife. I was able to find his somewhat full AMW profile description from the AMW re-loaded site:
“Roger Hart is wanted by the Pottstown Police Department for the attempted murder of his wife, Gail. Although the two were high school sweethearts, their marriage began to fall apart almost immediately after the wedding. Cops say Hart became extremely possessive and increasingly jealous.
Before long, the alleged mental and physical abuse became too much for Gail to stomach and she filed a protection from abuse order in Pennsylvania. Hart was kicked out of the house and forced to live by himself.
But on May 23, 2004, police say Hart planned to get revenge against Gail and lay in wait outside Gail’s home. At approximately 1:19 a.m., Gail returned home and parked her car in the drive way. As she was getting out of the car, Hart allegedly pounced, slitting her throat.
Gail managed to slow the bleeding with a sweatshirt she had in the back seat. As she struggled and cried for help, Hart appeared once more from the darkness. Police say he knifed her once more before fleeing. He hasn’t been seen since.”
I know some people complained on the old AMW forum about this being a 2-part re-enactment (usually at least the fans of the forum didn't like 2-parters because it meant another fugitive that could have been caught wasn't aired), but I honestly had no problem with this one since it was a well-done one and correctly highlighted how jealous, and paranoid Hart was.
Gail reminds me of Elizabeth Bowie, Juan Lazaro Abrego's victim, in that she did everything right but nothing was good enough for Roger. (Thankfully Gail survived though). I also remember it mentioning Hart had become impotent somehow, and Gail STILL stated she wanted to be loyal to him because she made a vow to him and God when she married him. And abuse and being nearly killed was the thanks she got.
As for thoughts on whereabouts, no idea. I did remember a comment on AMW that Gail said Roger told her he'd have no problem living as a homeless man, so perhaps he's living in a homeless shelter somewhere.
In any case, Roger Hart allegedly nearly killed his wife for revenge for kicking him out when HE was the one abusing and threatening her. *Bleep* him. I hope he gets caught soon.
