Her body was found on January 13, 1986, in a wooded area on property owned by the Bridgeport Hydraulic Company on Valley Road in Redding. Ms. Jerome was known to have engaged in prostitution in the Bridgeport area. It is believed that she was sexually assaulted before she was strangled. The State of Connecticut is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her killer.
