Thoughts? Whyte is my Canadian fugitive of the month for the month of May 2018. Also, as of this posting date (5/2/2018)? Whyte is still on the RCMP website as one of their most wanted fugitives. (See link above).
While a motive is not revealed in any articles, one article says the victim was 33-year old Leonard Pinnock, who was simply sitting in his car waiting for his friend. Whyte is or was already wanted for alleged drug trafficking before becoming an alleged murderer as well. He is also charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence based on "Project Kronic" — a year-long investigation that targeted the Driftwood Crips gang and their associates and led to 660 charges being laid. It was not revealed if Whyte was believed to be a member and/or if Pinnock's friend knew Whyte. The police Sergeant interviewed in the article back in September stated she believed it was a random attack: www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/suspect-id-fatal-shooting-leonard-pinnock-1.4294824
