Detectives identified Kaleb Kessinger, 20, as a suspect in this case, and attempted to contact him in the 3400 block of Nighthawk Lane in northwest Bakersfield, police say. Officers located Kessinger on Wednesday night about 10:45 p.m. driving his car on Nighthawk Lane.
Kessinger fled from officers and was involved in a single vehicle traffic collision near Calloway Drive and Olive Drive. KGET-TV reported heavy police presence at the time of the crash but Bakersfield Police Department could not release any information at the time.
Kessinger was last seen fleeing on foot from that area, police say. Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Kessinger for charges which include homicide and felony child abuse.

Thoughts? A sad update in that a boy's body has indeed been found that although not confirmed, I don't see how it won't turn out to be him: bakersfieldnow.com/news/local/manhunt-underway-as-bakersfield-officers-believe-missing-child-is-dead
Really sad that between Shane Patton and now Kessinger, we've had two breaking news fugitive cases this week under similar alleged circumstances.
